Port of Ponta Delgada Photo

Photographer’s Note

This was taken through the window of moving car. In the foreground you can see the cobble stones to the sidewalk of the main avenue of ponta delgada the capital city of the Azores. This avenue looks on to the ocean and the port. This avenue is quite popular an there are plenty of side walk cafes, and vendors specially in the evening hours, when many people stroll. The port was built within the 20 century.

Maybe later I'll add somemore info on it.

Christina, like your shot. while the subject does not attract me much, i like your composition.
you've included a rough, dark sky. the bright colored vessels are nice to look at: a colorful relief in the otherwise dull background.
your POV gives an illusion that the pic is a bit tilted, but is not, because you've used some angle to the left for your shot.

Very interesting layers of colours and textures, on the background of a beautiful dramatic sky, Cristina! :-) Wonderful depth and fine dynamics, coming from the cobble stones set in lines. The colourful boats add more lovely details to the composition. Well done!
