Photographer’s Note
With this Post a new Return to Azores and this was taken from the surroundings of Horta town at Faial Island capturing the sea Atlantic channel between this one and PICO Island in a near distance of 9 Kilometers.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This picture was taken with contrasting clouds, light-shadow difference and reflections near 15H30 GMT, with the sun rays 90 degrees from my right side. I hope you like this moment and capture.
In my Photo Information YOU have a TRAVELOGUE of the holiday voyage and also two WS-Workshops that are complementary views of the place and that are also a important way of comunicate and information.
In one of my previous posts I published another beautiful picture of this place with my other camera that you can see here: Link
These beautiful Islands are located in the vast Atlantic Ocean somewhere half a way between Europe and North America. These two are part of the five Central Islands, that are visited all the year for several thousand of tourists and sea navigators from all the world.
PICO Island is known by the PICO Mountain that is very difficult to capture in a clear view because is allways with clouds in the upper top. This Island have very good WINES and excelent CHEESE.
TECHNICAL Notes: ISO=64 Focal Lenght=38mm and a smell of Neatimage filtering at the sky by reduction size image factors to post.
These are natural and preserved nature wonders that have Sailors, Solitaire navigators and important world tourism and preserved Sportiv Game-Fishing with people linked to United States, Canada, Brazil, Europe and also naturally to Continental Portugal.
Thanks to ALL of YOU for sharing and make critiques.

What a contrast, between the dark side against the lighted part . It is a more dramatic point of view of this place, comparing with the previous shot. We can notice the clouds formation on the islands with more detail. The DOF is very good. Very well seen, Gabriel

A well composed shot with the triangle of the land in the foreground and the triangle showing of Pico Island, balancing the image at the other side. Nice capture of the clouds too.

Hi Fernando - great trio of photos, I like the stunning contrast of this one, and marvelleous sky, compositionally I like this one best, but wish the diagonal foreground was lit by the sun. The WS version showing the entire Pico island is almost as good.

Hi Fernando, What a view. I like the different layers you have captured in this picture with different scene in each layer. The rolling hill in the front made a nice contrast to the rolling hill in the background. A beautiful place and a beautiful image.

Fernando, very nice view. I like the darkness at the right side and also the sky looks very well. I think it needs a little more exposition but the ilumination at the sky is very worked.
Thanks a lot

Giving the distance between the coast is a nice information to mesure the quality of the weather of course but also from the shot.
The typical drawing of the fields on the hill is quite "irish" and even here we still have some of these stone wall to protect from te wind erosion...
The composition is interesting also for the opposition of the contrasted greens from the land and the soft blue for the sea and sky.
Good framing,
I like it

Hi Fernando. Well your title sure is appropriate. It sums it up nicely. What a huge view and we feel so small looking at this. Good idea with the low-horizon. Great shot Fernando.

A nice deep view in this photo, Fernando. The rather low positioned horizon line is a good choice to emphasize the grandeur of the scenery, and the dark diagonal hillside in the foreground is well used for the framing, opening up the view opposite the water towards the opposite shore.

Ola Fernando,
It's an unusual and interesting composition approach opposing the dark foreground and the lit background pieces of land, I like here too the sea diagonal that separates them, maybe you could remove here a bit of sky to me more panoramic, but keep the white clouds !
Have a ncie week end,
Jean-Yves

Bonjour Fernando,

Desta vez o teu trabalho explora o lado gráfico, a linhas diagonais produzidas pelo Faial e Pico.
Céu forte, bem texturizado pelas nuvens.
Parabéns

Hi Fernando,
A well composed shot from a superb POV. The dark foreground presentation of the steep hill is most effective, contrasted against the dreamy sky and enervating views over the water. I like the silhouetted trees and clumps of bushes on the hillside in particular. Very artistically presented, my friend.

Bom dia.

Hi Fernando,
An amazing composition with the dark slopes up front as contrasted to the bright sky and sea! I like the diagoanl lines giving dynamics, and the cloud formation in the background is awesome... Great colours and details
