Blues Contrasting Greens - Azores Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is another picture of my last Travelogue to Azores Islands.

In my Photo Information YOU have two WS-Workshops that are complementary or other views that are also good important ways of comunicate and share information. Some could be not so good quality but they are like I said a aditional view.

The first one WS1 - Is a capture of a near place Horta local to the Atlantic Channel seeing a part of Pico Island. The second WS2 - Is a another view that shows some part of the first in another near angle.

Aditional information: ISO = 80 and Focal Lenght = 27mm and a little crop by PP at the lower base approach.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This post picture shows a common flower at all the AZORES Islands called ORTHENTIAS for some and HYDRANGEAS for others that could have some colors. Here we are in the BLUES, but in Flowers Island you have also Other Colors in a also great Simphony like YOU can see in one of my first pictures at TE and that was not digital and a scanned image here: Link

This SHOT was made near a after Midday with some nice but difficult light conditions because the luminosity that exists and is changing in this Atlantic Channel between these two Islands.

These beautiful Islands are located in the vast Atlantic Ocean somewhere half a way between Europe and North America. They are also part of the five Central Islands, that are visited all the year for several thousand of tourists and sea navigators from all the world. It's like a world navigation network AND you can see here also the important Horta Marina!

NOTE: This current Travelogue Serie would be these particular Atlantic Islands with harmonious mountains, sea scenery, walles and dolphins, cows with milk and excelent cheese for all the world, Good Wine from Pico, great wonderfull volcanic sceneries and nature and I will try to catalog in different selective ways to post.

These are natural and preserved nature wonders that have Sailors, Solitaire navigators and important world tourism and preserved Sportiv Game-Fishing with people linked to United States, Canada, Brazil, Europe and also naturally to Continental Portugal.

Hi Fernando,
A well composed shot with interesting foreground flowers and superb lighting. We have hydrangeas in North America and they are an often overlooked flower for adornment. I like the various hues of blue. Well done.

une vue tellement étendue que les nuages ont l'air de frôler la mer.
C'est bien d'avoir inclu ces fleurs à l'avant plan, elles sont superbes et leurs couleurs accompagnone bien celle du ciel et de la mer.

Um céu estupendo, com flocos de nuvens que se espelham no mar. As hortências, praticamente da tonalidade do mar. Um ponto de vista excelente. Maravilhosas cores de verão. No WS me pareceu que a distância entre Pico e Faial não é tão grande - acabei de ler que a menor distância é 6 Km. A foto é linda e tem uma profundidade como poucas. Parabéns pelo excelente trabalho.

Essa flor (HYDRANGEAS) me lembra uma chamada HORTENCIA, pois tem uma estrutura parecida.

Quel joli mariage entre les nuages et la mer ! La beauté s'exprime également en avant-plan avec ces fleurs d'hortensias dont les pétales commencent à s'étioler.
Une vue superbe de l'ensemble. Composition très bien réalisée procurant un réel plaisir à contempler !

The light is very nice here, especially on the flowers in the foreground. It gets a bit light in the clouds, though. I like how your depth of field is so deep, providing clarity all through the photo. Nice one, Fernando!

A beautiful blue,whit green shot,just 3 colors in fantastic elements,from flowers to far in the sky and clouds and the sea there,lovely scene,Fernando,I enjoy it,

The flower called in Iran Ortanza(not sure about spelling),like as you said this flwers has a varity of colors,there are many kind of this flower in Iran,specially more in the north of Iran,near the Caspean Sea,seems this flower love humidity!

I love the low POV to show the hydrangers in the foreground. The many shades of blue give a cool peaceful mood to the image. The sea looks calm and serene reflecting the clouds in the sky. Well done

the blue is the key, you are right!
Excellent view, you managed very well the ligh and the compo, with the 'old' trick to post something (the flowers) in the frontside with a color connected to the sky.
Excellent dof and sharpness, really a view of high impact, bravo!

A great one, with a nice game of the strond and volumed foreground to the long part of water and the ssky.

Vivaldi must have been here for his inspirations. What other place can do better? It's a lovely scene and the flowers harmonized beautifully with the clouds that seemed to dance in the sky. The reflections in the ocean is echoing the rhythm creating a melodious symphony. Excellent shot!! Best regards.

Uma foto simples, mas que tira proveito de tudo o k tem.

This is a nice one Fernando, the clouds dancing over the water in a light misty sky contrasting the green forground wher the flowers repeat deeply this same blue popping out of the dark green, outstanding moment, well seen and captured.

Não é necessário visitar a sua galeria. Com toda a informação que cada um dos seus posts tem, vamos viajando de Link em Link, até conhecermos os Açores todos!
Adoro esta simples composição com os destaque para as belas Hortências azuis a emoldurar a atraente vista do mar, a bonita luminosidade relectida na superfície da água e a disposição de nuvens no horizonte e por cima da nossa cabeça.
As condições não parecem de facto ter sido fáceis, mas parece-me que o trabalho no controlo delas foi muito bem conseguido, manipulando bem o excesso de luz na vista e a sombra nas típicas flores dos Açores.
Parabéns e vamos lá a ver essas fotos da Europa e do Norte de África (tenho especial curiosidade por estas).
