[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Furnas valley and lagoon, in S. Miguel island in the Azores, when seen from the north edge of the valley (Salto do Cavalo, IIRC?)

The original image was basically monochrome (green with a little bit of sky blue); I thought I'd have some fun making a B&W from it.

Hi Salvador,

I like the sharpness of your picture.
The point of view is good too.
Still, I feel it is missing something on the right side of the picture.
It may be due to the different type of lands on left and right side of the picture.
Not sure... ;-)

As texturas sobressaem provalmente devido à utilização do P&B, evidenciando a imponência da paisagem: a macieza do vale e os recortes incertos das serras. Lindíssimo.

Sugestão: que tal utilizar a cor... apesar do azul fugaz, o verde inundará o olhar, presumo...

Imagino a bela caminhada que estas paragens te (vos) proporcionaram, sobretudo quando se "sabe" olhar para a natureza...

Fotografia muito interessante com uma nitidez extraordinária. Mas, para o tipo de imagem que é penso que o original a cores seria mais bonito de ver. O facto de ser predominantemente verde tem a ver com a própria cor dos Açores. Será que nos podias mostrar o original no Workshop?

Your choice of going B&W was a very good idea. It makes for a dramatic image. I like contrast between the dark hills in the foreground and the clouds at the top. How did you get the image so sharp ??
