Furnas Daybreak

| Ok, another sunrise shot. . . but to me it is not very often I get up that early. Most of the time it's sunSET shots I take. I was just taken by the wonder of the little town of Furnas awakening to the day, the day that I was to experience my first cozido! This shot is taken on the winding road leaading down to Furnas. The Blue Hydrangias, that grow everywhere along sides the roads like weeds there, were waiting for my camera and flash, too. There is a similar shot in Horizontal in my collection, but I thought the tree branches helped frame this one differently. |

Great composition & light in this shot. Excellent! Regards, Doug
I think this is a wonderful shot. Wish I'd taken it myself. The hydrangeas match the blue patches in the sky. Exquisite. Andrew

It was worth getting up early, this is a marvellous landscape.
Good idea to use the Flash to highlight the foreground at the same time.
