‘Warsaw – Arrival at the Old Town Square’

Many pictures of the very beautiful Old Town Square (Stare Miasto) in Warsaw have been posted already.
Usually these pics include the statue of the Mermaid that is the symbol of Warsaw.

Here I posted a picture of this same square with another POV, taken in one of the streets leading to it.
Most houses at the Old Town Square (except of two façades) have been reconstructed after WWII.

Only early in the morning the square is without visitors. The rest of the time numberous people are enjoying the beautiful architecture and of course also the cafés and restaurants.

Hi Paul,

I have been in Warsaw 2 years ago...weather was not that good...so my pictures were quite bad!! I Like this different POV including the iron street lamp leaving the colourful houses on the background
the only thing that I don't like is the beaheaded man down on the right!

Nice view of the square showing the architecture of the old part of structures in very warm light and perhaps your crop at bottom would be to avoid cars?

Otherwise a vertical format would be nice.

Personalmente avrei tagliato un po' di più in basso sugli ombrelloni, ma e' un mio pensiero e come tale lo esprimo.

Olá Paul, excellent original composition. And very nice graphic arrangement of silhouettes that contrast beautifully with the color architecture seen in the background. I like the way you avoided the disturbing elements of the street and splanade to achive a more appealing artistic picture.

Like how you composed this shot with the silhouette of the lamp & the wrought iron signage on the left, contrasting with the colourful classical facades of the buildings. The soft light makes the scene even more delectable. Good work!

The colours are very well managed here.
Let me make a "constructive critic". I understand you wanted to include the street lamp, which gives a nice contrast and a kind of frame. I would have done the same, but I would have tried to get the floor and the tends as well. Maybe a vertical one? I say this, because when I look to my own pictures sometimes I regret of not having catched the floor, to give the "entire picture of the scene". On the other hand, maybe you would get too many people in the pic... Just wondering...

Nevertheless, beautiful catch!
