Photographer’s Note
This is a shot of Block 10 a barrack at the Auschwitz I concentration camp. Block 10 was where the horrific 'scientific' experiments were conducted during the Holocaust. The main scientist was Dr Josef Mengele who carried out terrible experiments on the prisoners Auschwitz.
Today the doors of this barrack remian closed and a candle lies at the door.

A very interesting picture with that touch of nostalgia and drama that we accounts and those colors so sad that they give a very good idea of what there step, congratulations good picture!
I've done a workshop that I hope you like it, which ensures that you say that there is still candle as a sign of hope.

Hi Scott!
I think that you did the right thing when you have chosen B/W technique for this image. If we only remember what was going on behind that doors and what kind of hell those poor souls had to go through... I can't even write when I think of that. So much pain and sufferning and then we dare to say we are better than animals.
This is great shot. It gives you something to think about.
