George estupendo retrato. El desplazamiento hacia la izquierda del rostro le da una muy buena ubicación con respecto a la toma. La profundidad de campo es la perfecta para resaltar la retratada.
Como todas tus tomas, esta muy buena.

This is your best work man, those portraits from the 70s. Just as in all the others you are showing here, all faces become alive. And although i don't like the grain, the tight framing with her head to the corner.....but her eyes, her expression, her cheeks, oh man, seeing this i almost fell in love on such a beautiful woman. You were lucky to have such a beauty in front of your camera...a jewel, a gem, a kind of....oh well, you got the point. I am really impressed on this older work from you.
A strong but also very sensitive woman...what a face...pffffffffffffff

she's beautiful! Her eyes, there seems to be tears in them. I don't know, I have the impression that there is something in there...like fog.;)
Lucky you, 15 minutes of love between the 3 of you and you made the most out of it.

I see that you were a true fan of her. Many pics from her, from different places and times...Were you following her?;)

Like Henk, I'm a big fan of your older pictures. I hope you won't take it as an insult toward your contemporary work...

Well, beautiful Miss Jarocka is not Romy for sure, but i can only try to imagine what you felt upon standing in front of this goddess. I cannot imagine for sure, therefore your burning words are extremely useful again.

Cze Polonez!
Portret rewelacyjny, ale caly tekscik do niczego niepotrzebny. Ze jakas Doda Elektroda sprzed lat. Co mnie to obchodzi. Irena Jarocka to byla szansonista i tyle, nikim wiecej nie byla, nie byla kims, kto moglby stanac kolo Ewy Demarczyk. Na pewno to mila sympatyczna pani, ale patrzac na to foto co mnie to obchodzi. Gdyby to byla jakas megiera, tez bym ci powiedzial, ze foto jest swietne. Zeby nie bylo watpliwosci, powtarzam, fotka rewelacyjna, jednak ten tekst to kartofle. Jak tesknisz do Polski, no to wracaj, zyj z nami, miedzy nami i sluchaj piosenek Dody Elektrody. Za miesiac wrocisz do siebie.

Wydaje mi sie, ze przesadzasz z reakcja. Zwroc uwage, napisalem mniej wiecej tyle, ze zdjecie jest bardzo dobre, a Twoj komentarz do wlasnego zdjecia to sentymentalne blubry, co teraz podtrzymuje. Moj Boze, te polskie legendy: miala zrobic swiatowa kariere, juz, juz, ale nie zrobila, jechal po zloty medal, ale przewrocil sie na kamyku i nie zdobyl, mial wygrac, ale sedzia sie pomylil i nie wygral, etc.
Co do moich gustow kulinarnych i muzycznych... Nic nie wiesz na ten temat, wiec nie wysilaj sie.
Zeby nie bylo watpliwosci, portret bardzo dobry i zeby go docenic, wcale nie musze wiedziec kim jest osoba sportretowana. A jest niegdysiejsza piosenkarka z PRL, srednio utalentowana. Jesli nie wiesz w czym rzecz, to wlacz sobie plyte Ewy Demarczyk.

Man, I am in love...with that gorgeous face, full of sensitivity, vibrating, the misty ? eyes...and what you made of it. Hats off. And lucky you...Although I am very much a man's woman, (:))) I am often more sensitive to portraits of women, and their beauty...don't know how to express that.

This is a pure delight, a gem in sumptuous light, the grain enhances the strong impace: I feel so much this : a superb woman for a superb photographer. My deep respect and admiration.

No.. moze ja tam wolalam Catherine Denevue za urode i nie tylko.. ale racje, ze to progi nawet jeszcze odleglejsze jak na te czasy.. Uwielbiam Twoje stare zdjecia Jurku, bo to nie tylko obrazki wspolgrajace ze wspomnieniami mojego dziecinstwa ale tez wnikliwe, czesto pelen ciekawskosci i fascynacji, spojrzenia, ktore jakby czasu sie nie imaly..
Co ciekawe, zreszta i na narginesie, Irena Jarocka nie zmienila sie ani o jote, kto wie, moze nawet wyglada teraz jeszcze lepiej.. z grzecznosci nie dociekam - dlaczego :)

Co ja będę gadać ?
Niedawno nawiedziła na powrót Polskę - pokazywali w telewizji - niewiele sie zmieniła, świetnie się trzyma :))
Wspomnienia młodości budzą jej piosenki - przy tych piosenkach w końcu się tańczyło, uczyło, biegało po ulicach, trudno się było od nich opędzić... A potem wszystko znikło - tak jakoś razem z naszym coraz mniej pięknym PRL-em ;)).
Parę jej piosenek nawet lubiłam - takie melodyjne, swojskie, w klimatach rówieśnych :)).
Ale jeśli mam teraz przed kimś bić czołem to oczywiście przed Tobą, bo zdjęcie znakomite - mówią, że zawsze to nie model się liczy tylko fotograf. Klimat tamtych lat też znakomicie przypomniany...
No i szacunek niezmierny dla Twoich przepaścistych szuflad... :))

Beautiful woman, beautiful portrait - yet strangely missing that burning eye contact which is almost a trademark of yours. But I like that, it adds a certain mystery and makes for a more interesting shot.

I can see why you were so smitten.

I don't want to lie : here, I took even more pleasure reading your note then looking at the photo - but the photo is splendid too, of course !

She is indeed beautiful (interesting, the scars near her right eye (?)), superb and surprising portrait, very special and very well presented.
