Sacred Light
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| This is another shot taken during my autumn holidays in polish Tatra mountains. Together with my wife we decided to climb Giewont peak that day. It is very special and also very famous mountain with big steel cross at the top. It is so famous that You can usually expect queues to get to the top of it, I will still recommend to get there though. It is special because I climbed it when I was a young kid and I still have great memories about it (and some old b&w photographs). Morning sun and hazy air created visible rays of light here. This photo is stitched from 3 vertical shots and I found it a bit difficult to shoot - against the sun and I didn't have any filters with me. I used 2 different exposures for each shot to keep as much details in the foreground and the sky as possible. I though the title 'Sacred light' will fit well here with the sun shining just above the cross at the top of this very special mountain. |

Hi Tomasz. Incredible light and impressive mountainous scenery. You have managed a very difficult situation very well and was able to register good details above and below which blended well with the stiching. Regards. Klaudio.

Niesamowicie trafione. Światło jakby od krzyża z Giewontu.Piękne wrażenie smug cienia w zacienieniu. Skłaniajace do refleksji.
pozdrawiam. JBB
Technically this is a very difficult shot as your comments and the shot itself can attest. That said, I still think your composition deserves merit and can only image what it felt like to see this in person.
