[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Last year I came for the first time in the city of Torun in Kujawsko-Pormoskie (Poland). On the way back to the hotel I bumped into this curious statue but it was late and went on. This year I had to come back (for business reasons as well) and once again I saw it, then I looked for some more info that now I am posting below:

This monument is dedicated to Zbigniew Lengren.
Zbigniew Lengren (1919—2003), was a Polish cartoonist, caricaturist, and illustrator of Swedish descent. He was awarded the "Order of Smile" amongst other, numerous awards. His most famous creation is Professor Filutek, an absent-minded character who appeared once a week on the last page of Przekrój magazine for over 50 years, a record run in Polish comics. Lengren was also a writer, especially of poems for children.
In 1947, whilst a Fine Arts student of the Nicolaus Copernicus University, he won a competition to design the Super Ex Libris for the University Library. The design is still in use today.

Torun! Yes, I lnown this city and this place. Last year I was in Torun. It is very beautiful city with many historical buildings. Interesting small monument.

The high ISO you were forced to use, presumably lacking a tripod, has introduced a lot of noise into the image. I think the sepia conversion was a creative way to use the noise to your advantage to give an old look. Very interesting and unusual statue.
