Photographer’s Note
Wandering around the old ghetto area of Krakow this morning from some of the sights it sometimes seemed as though the last 70 years hadn't happened.

A really nice photograph, you've caught a great moment here - it's almost like the guy sitting down has just delivered a brilliant punchline to a joke, you can almost hear the other guys laugh!
I like the way you've displayed it in B&W, it makes the scene look like it could have been taken at any time in the last 70 years, pity the 'man-bag' gives the game away!

Hello Richard, it's been a long time..
A nice job of an old - medren scene. well processed with the sepia tonning. The scene itself is very interesting. Rgards, Itzik.

Nice moment you captured there, Richard. Now being me I would have deserately tried to okeh out some of that busy backgrund to make these two characters POP even more, but that's me I guess...
Nice one,

A lovely moment captured here, Richard, and indeed an impression as if time stood still. Obviously an apt choice to go for b&w here (delivering a nice tonal range on the side). Nice showing of the two characters in the "vintage" surroundings. Beautiful shot indeed.

Yes, this has a nice retro feel, Richard. The B&W is perfect for this too. You have two great subjects, full of character and in a dramatic composition. Regards Kevin

really as if the last 70 years hadnt happened...you were actually most lucky - its not such a common scene nowedays, to see the orthodox jews there...
wise decission to conver the photo into duotone...

Straight from Singer's books, Richard, a delightful street scene. Very nicely caught, genuine and spontaneous.

A fine momet captured here Richard. It's almost sensational to see these guys displaying some joy of life in this way. A good crop and well disposed compo, fine details and a good choice to present it in the bw version with the hight contrast.

Hello Richard.
I am really ashamed to discover that I miss a lot of excellent pictures. Like this one taken on the stage of a play.
At least this is the impressipm I have when I look at it. The set, the cobble stoned street, the two characters and the fact you caught one of them laughing and the other telling a story with his hands is wonderful
Well done - Izzet

Seductive, heart warming scene.
I founded it's almost impossible not to laugh together with them.
Charming place, conquering photograph, Richard.
All of my thumbs up. Way up.

Two Jews on the park bench.
Silence.
After a long while one of them emits: Ay.ay..(sigh)
Silence
Half-an-hour later the other one...Ay..vay...(sigh)
The first one jumps into the air...
I don't want to talk about politics any more, OK ??

Richard,
Very impressive picture. You did the righht thing by keeping it in B&W. This picture gives and pre WW-II feel, I mean the era.
Good shot.

A very nice capture Richard - excellent - the toning choice was good and the moment is great - people with something to laugh about being free to do just that in public - it's a powerful picture about the way things move on.
