[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The biggest Polish tall ship in service "Dar Mlodziezy" (The gift from the youth) is a school of life and profession for many young students of Gdynia Maritime Academy. Not often can you come across her in Gdynia, which is the ship's home port, as she is usually at sea. She was built in 1981 in Gdańsk as the first from the series of three vessels of her type. The other two belong to Russia and their names are as follows: 'Nadiezda' (Hope) and 'Mir' (Peace).

Taken in Gdynia on the Southern Pier where it usually moors. In the backgroung on the right are the cranes building the highest residential building in Northern Poland, so-called 'Sea Towers'. The structure will be as tall as 136 m and all the penthouses and flats have been already sold at sky-high prices. With its monumental height it will be a new landmark in Gdynia skyline and it will be hard to miss it even from very far at sea.

Cheers!

Hello Kris,
very positive and romantic photo. Really, it's very similar to russian sailing-ships.
Julia

Hi Kris,
A well chosen POV to show us the tall ship, the blue sky with white clouds. Light is good too...
All the best,
Marilyn

Cześć Kris!
Ten piękny zaglowiec w każdym kadrze prezentuje się okazale. Piękne kolory. Trochę bym maszty wypionował ;-). Ale to drobiazg ogólnie podoba się.
Pozdrawiam
Krzysztof

Witaj
Pozdrawiam

Witam Kris
As was said in my home page, I've been away for a while and that's why I'm late to answer your generosity!
Her gracious majesty thrones in Gdynia harbour and your use of a wide lens enhances the elegance of its prow over a magnificent sky.
Nice shot, my friend!
Best regards.
Robert
