Photographer’s Note

When visiting Cracow I stayed with my friend in her flat. The tenement she lives in is ruined but hides an extraordinary potential, both in residential as well as photographic meaning of this word. It's a real pitty, nobody would renovate the building.
On my first entering the house I knew I had to take some photos inside and so, the next day me and my friend had a mini-session there.
This is one of the photos I took showing my friend sitting (and thinking?) on the stairs.

Good compostion. Great lighting and colours. I think it may have been better if we could see her face.

J'aime bien l'ambiance de ta compo.
Un côté triste et mélancolique dans cette photo.
Lumière pas facile à géréer, mais tu t'en sors très bien.
Moi j'aime justement bien ce pov, et le fait de ne pas voir le visage de la personne, ca amplifie l'ambiance.

Świetne zdjęcie. Nastrój niesamowity, kolory i światło. Znakomicie uchwycony (a model to podkreśla) klimaty starych kamienic - nostalgia i jakby zawieszenie w czasie. Pozdowienia z drugiego końca Polski - T.

Hey Ewa,

I have a couple of photos now of people being lost in thought, and it makes for an interesting subject. Your shot here makes us wonder what she is thinking, as she stares out that window. Nice work.

Very impressive image, Ewa. There are many feelings here (to me): decadence, sadness, melancholy, loneliness, but too hope ant a brilliant future through the window, in the world around.

"I don't like people in a picture except when they are useful...." And here she is definitely useful ! You've captured an atmosphere with the girl thinking, that's really nice done ! The light, textures and composition is fantastic, Ewa, very well done, I like it ! (Hi dear:-))
