Photographers Note
Powazki Cementery, Warsaw. People get old and die, graves get old and time takes its toll on them too.
From where I was standing it looked as if the cobweb was the only thing keeping the column upright...
It was noon, the sun was very strong and I'm afraid I didn't avoid overexposure on the cobweb, but on the other hand I liked this strong light, it flooded the graves around with warmth and life and that's why I didn't want to lessen its intensity. Perhaps it was a mistake, does it bother a lot?

A fantastically captured shot. The light is perfect, and the image of the cobweb holding on to death is kind of ironic in itself. Very well framed shot, with the atmosphere enhanced by the crosses in the background.

absolutnie genialne, technicznie super, ale ta pajęczyna podtrzymująca zlamany fragment poprostu super! to się koleżanka nafocila na tych powązkach, fajnie;
dobry tekst, krótki, a przy tym pelen i ciekawych szczególów i z nutka nostalgii..

Well Aleksandra,
I love this strong light. The bright colourful background is marvellous and I like the white shining spot in the center of the composition with the spider's web.

Hi Aleksandra,
Well, one of the things that impressed me the most was the Jewish Cemitery in Krakow, amazing place... and now i've studied the history is unbelieveble, this photo reminds me soo much, great colours, great dof and framing.

Ciekawie przeslanie tego zdjęcia. Odnośnik do kruchości i słabości naszego żywota. Techniczne bardzo dobre, świetnie wykorzystana GO. Pozdrawiam, Wiesiek

Hello Aleksandra,
A nice shot and, oddly, I think the cobweb is working for you not against you. Yes, technically it is over-exposed, but it is a great highlight - it is the centre of the picture really, and is what creates the division between the foreground column and the background crosses and trees.
Fascinating place.

Wcale nie przeszkadza. Wrecz przeciwnie, efekt jest mily dla oczu. I masz racje, ta pajeczyna chyba trzyma wszystko razem. Wychodzi z tego fajna seria!

A fine serie on this churcyard with a wrm sun lighted atmosphere, made me think at a Belgian controversional photographer using the churchyard as stage for naked woman nostalgic in sepia, personally I still prefer your approach, you make a sad environment looking so beautiful, well composed with the frontplan on the side for depht and plasant DOF and spiderweb, excellent shot here Aleksandra.

Details, light, sharpness in foreground and some blurry in the background, another beauty !
(I added the new Deep Purple's Don't Let Go-song to the theme....)

Witaj Olu,
Niezwykle nastrojowy kadr.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie,
Jurek
