...no sensation to compare... - part two Photo

Same idea, different pov.

As some of You, my dear Friends, predicted that this man soon will be flying, I must disappoint You...
This part of the day was really windless.
So, the title may be illusive...

But what about patience? I was wondering how patient this sportsman or "daredevil" must have been, as i spent about five hours there, on the top of Zar Mount and he was still holding his position just waiting for the wind. Amazing...

Below the Zar Mount You can see a big part of Miedzybrodzkie Lake and Miedzybrodzie Bielskie village. Situated in the vicinity of two very interesting towns: Zywiec and Bielsko-Biala.

Great POV and color. The tree line at the middle of the shot seems blocking vision to "his world".

o tak... z tej strony gorka jest ciekawa i widok rowniez... ostanim razem widzialem takiego jak ladowal na drzewach wlasnie na Zarze. wstal i ostrzepal galazki na szczescie. dobra praca :)

Mat -

The juxtaposition of the waiting flyer and the beautiful scenery makes for a very nice image. You were there 5 hours - how long did the flyer wait for some wind? This image could be used as a travel poster or postcard in the para-gliding community. Contact your local club and see if they might be interested.

I debated mentioning this, but I feel that there is a bit too much contrast between the foreground and background a graduated ND filter might of helped. I posted a workshop to help minimize the hazey effects of the excess contrast.

Wow it seems to me that this second one has some better features than the first.
The foreground has a better balance. The chute and grass sure fits well into a third of teh photo. The distant land down in the valley really looks amazing. Excellent photo.

Hi Mat,
A well composed shot, rendered with good balance and and excellent POV and DOF. The colourful flying paraphernalia is a perfect contrast to the natural greenery. One gets a sense of dynamism and tension from the shot, despite your note indicating that there was insufficient wind. For one feels the anxiety and excitement of the hang glider that this may be the decisive moment to vault into space. A very effective shot, Mat.
