Photographer's Note

One of the rooms in the Grodziec castle.
Grodziec castle located in Lower Silesia, on top of the hill of the same name. It was built on the basalt, volcanic, steep hill at an altitude of 389 m above sea level.
The first mention of a medieval fortified castle is from 1159. During the 30-year war, in 1633, a large part of the castle was destroyed by fire and remained a ruin until 1800. Progressively the castle was renovated and made available to the public. In the castle were realized many movies: Polish, Swedish, Belgian and Russian.
Today it is open to the public and special events for children, young people and lovers of historical sites.
