Well, I owe this photo to our dear TE friends Malgo and Leszek from Warsaw.
They were kind enough to walk us around parts of Warsaw that I thought would be interesting, even if they didn't exactly enjoy architecture. How nice of them!
It totally paid off as I was treated to views of Warsaw I probably wouldn't have otherwise seen.
Here we are with a wide angle view of the city, and I'm hoping that this view is one that most of you have not seen before but I'm not sure.
There was a huge football (soccer for me) tournament going on at the time, thats why you see the blocks with various national flags.
Hope you like it!

last year everything revolved around soccer(European Championship in Poland and Ukraine),so the flags seems to be remainings of this event.
Great wide view of Warsaw´s downtown(and to think that the place you took this image from was formerly a bazaar-didn´t look good-believe me:)
Now it looks much better.Even if I´m gonna repeat myself, but again you processed th eimage perfectly-magnificent colors and contrast.
Have a nice day

Always nice to see your posts from Warsaw. Agree with you that probably this is a brand new view here at TE but for people who know Warsaw it's very familiar place for sure. Like the scene a lot with a great line of the modern buildings and charming cloudy sky above. Excellent execution as always. TFS.

yep! an unusual view of Warsaw. Like the lines and the flags make a striking dividing line. Immaculately composed and executed as always.
Internet connection fixed now - I hope!

Je ne crois pas que ce soit la plus belle partie de Varsovie que tu nous montre aujourd'hui. Une partie plus moderne avec des grues dans le ciel. Un certain manque de netteté au centre de l'image.

I am glad that you made a trip to Poland one year ago.
Now I can enjoy of your trip than see I also this splendid image of this big square.
Nice symmetry with the skyscrapers in background, but also the flags in foreground
Excellent cityscape, with perfect sharpness and clarity
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice day,

We had the same idea at the same time, what a coincidence!!! But you changed your mind eventually. Haha...
The picture you posted today, is also a very good one. I like the white clouds in the blue sky, very pleasant.
Have a nice day!

The big soccer tournament you are referring to was the European championship, won by Spain that year.
Here you certainly present an entirely different view on Warsaw than one can see usual. It looks very clean and modern here.
have a great evening

a new view of Warsaw to me anyway, I must admit I know little about the city, but I would not think towers when I think of it, so this is a nice scene. I particularly like the blue glass beastie on the left. The open space is very inviting and brings me very much into the scene, while above a perfect looking sky compliments the range of interests on the ground.
Cheers as always

Amazing sky creating a perfect background.

Hi again, I am happy to hear that you have good memories from my city and you liked the guides:).
Why do you think I don't enjoy architecture?? But saying "architecture" you mean modern buildings. Are old cathedrals, castles, palaces not architecture? Anyway, nice shot from the time of the European Cup. Nice view of the canter of Warsaw, wide panorama perfectly presented.
I have already plans for tomorrow photo and later post. I wonder if I will do it :).
have anice weekend

Yes, I did not see this part of Warsaw, but I don't like the new blocks. Although sometime I like some original examples of new design and creative ideas in architecture. Sorry, this is not my cup of tea )))
Have a good WE!

It's great to see this city risen like a phoenix from the ashes, after being completely destroyed by Nazi Germany in WW2. Good sharpness and color with the wide angled panoramic crop suiting the subject. I like the repetition of the colorful fg flags. I might have gone for a tighter crop centred on those 4 dark statues but this is fine as is. Have a great week!
