Photographers Note
The train has passed the gates to Birkenau, the industrial death camp. Where the rails divide, the trains stopped. Thousands upon thousands of jews stepped out. Some where sent directly to the gas-chambers, others got the chance to die a little slower.60 years later someone had put their flowers down, in rememberance of the victims. It was a cold day in Birkenau.

w sumie zdjęcie nie wymaga komentarza, może jest ciut nieostre, ale w tym przypadku nie ma to znaczenia, cześc ich pamięci.

i have tried to find information about this part of auschwitz.
was this made only for jews ??
as i know victims of this camp mae by nazi germans were about 400.000 jews, 240.000 polish, 20.000 gipsies. however the total number varies depending from source between 7.5 and 1.8 millions people's lives.
