Photographer's Note

Three storks sitting on the rooftop of the church in Pratulin, eastern Poland, just a few kilometers from the Belarussian boundary.
While many know stork as the 'national' bird of Poland, much less people know about Pratulin - a small village with a great Orthodox and Catholic Martyrs shrine. The Pratulin Martyrs were killed 1874 by soldiers of the Russian Empire for their beliefs and refusal to adopt Orthodoxy.
Now Pratulin is a place of great religious complex, hidden in the forests of eastern Poland, located on the picturesque, hilly terrain of the Bug meander.
