The effect of the red wall here is stunning. It nearly "pushes" the statues to foreground. An amazing effct. Is there any reason why saints never smile?! ... ;-)

a tu już nie jest nudno... przypomniała mi się ta seria, już wcześniej zapodawałeś jej kawałki...

ściana, krzycząca czerwienią cegła mocno tutaj buduje nastrój kontrastu pomiedzy spokojem madonn a czymś krzyczącym za nimi, niczym piekielne płomienie skondensowane w kamiennej postaci cegieł....

funny title for this shot...but it works very good.
moreover I love the contrast between the grey statues and the red bricked wall.

Well done! Superb contrast between the bright red wall and the grey sculptures! Great composition as well, I like the repetition of patterns on the sculptures.

somehow I can't shake off the symbolism of the red wall - all the mysticism of blood of centuries of Catholic art... the bleeding hearts, the bleeding roses, the bleeding wounds... this is what this wall and these statues say to me. a strong juxtaposition, not only a visual one.

Juz Ci jednego WS-a do tych Swietych kiedys robilam, ale tutaj jest gorzej ;).
Za nic nie dam sie nawrocic widzac taka poboznosc z kawalami krzaczorow ;). Bez duszy, jak dla mnie, a moze to ja jej nie mam ?
