Photographer’s Note

Warsaw University of Technology (Politechnika Warszawska) in the city of Warsaw. In 1898, the Technological Section of the Warsaw Society for Russian Commerce and Industry, whose director was engineer Kazimierz Obrębowicz, collected funds for the opening of Emperor Nicolas II University of Technology. Classes, with Russian as the language of instruction, started on 5 September in the building at 81 Marszałkowska Street. They were soon moved to new buildings, built especially for the Institute. They were designed by Bronisław Rogóyski and Stefan Szyller.

It's an excellent shot of this building, and I especially like the appropriate inclusion of the woman, possibly a student, adding depth, dynamics and colors, well done...

The architecture looks lovely under that beautiful blue sky. Good point of view with the hedge making a useful contrasting frame to the light yellow tones of the building. The lady walking past with her enormous bag adds savour.

Sciana zieleni w ciekawy sposob zaslania czesciowo budynek PW, a na jej tle bardzo dobrze odbija sie postac studentki. Dobra ostrosc. Ladne czyste swiatlo, radosne kolory.

The POV is here very well selected and give a plesant symetryc effect. The young girl give an element of fantaisy and of life. I like too the armony betaween the color of the edifice and the green of the vegetation.

It's a wonderful presentation of this beautiful building surrounded by green and bathed by a great sun light. I like very much the presence of the walking girl. I wonder I would say the same if she was an ugly middle age man. :D
