Photographer’s Note

Church of Our Lady Queen of Poland (Field-Cathedral of the Polish Army) in the city of Warsaw. Built in 1642. Founded by King Władysław IV for piarist monks. After the Swedish invasion, it was rebuilt under Jakub Fontana in Baroque style. Since 1920, a garrison church, and since 1991, the Field-Cathedral of the Polish Army.

Hello Mikolaj,
The gaunt outline of the statue of the soldier makes an interesting and poignant frame for this beautiful church. The scene is well composed and has a good balance to it. The colours are pleasing and bright. Very good sharpness from front to back.

Including that statue was very wise, because now we have two strong elements to focus on. I like your framing with the soldier in a high position against the church...works very good....good eye in seeing this.

Witaj, Ciekawie to wyszło - z przodu żołnierz, a tam z tyłu kosciół garnizonowy. Tego pomnika to zreszta bardzo nie lubię. Pozdrawiam

maybe those suggest your patriotic spirit and love to your land.
but this contrast between shining church and severe soldier also means hard history of your country.

To sie nazywa POV. Bardzo dobra fotografia. Niezle podszedles pod kosciol, a moze raczej pod pomnik przed kosciolem. Podoba mi sie pusty, czysty i klarowny plac. Dobra ostrosc, bardzo dobrze wykontrastowana fotografia.
