Baszta Panienska (Maiden Tower) in Szczecin also called Baszta Siedmiu Plaszczy – Tower of Seven Coats (German Sieben Mänteln Turm), is located near the river Odra below Zamek Ksiazat Pomorskich (The Castle of Pomeranian Princes) in Panienska 47 street. Near the Tower there are busy city arteries – Trasa Zamkowa and Trasa Nadodrzańska (namely its part called Nabrzeze Wieleckie, where Bulwar Piastowski is located). Nearby there is so called Nowa Starowka (the part of Old Town which is currently under reconstruction).
The Tower is 9 m in outer diameter and 3.6 m in the inside diameter. It has 3 floors, lower cellar 4.7 m high, ground floor 4.4 m high and the first floor 2.5 m high. It is finished with crenellation and the cone helmet. Until 1723 the convicts were imprisoned in the tower. The medieval walls were destroyed after building the modern fortifications (Fort Leopold, Wilhelm, Prusy) between 1724-1740, i.e. at the beginning of Prussian reign. In time it was closely surrounded by tenement houses and it was practically forgotten. Praobably, between XIX and XX centuries in connection with the closure of Fort Leopold and building of Haken Terraces (nowadays Waly Chrobrego) the upper part of the Tower has been dismantled, the octagonal tenement building was built on its foundations. This building lasted until 1944, when the carpet bombings caused its destruction altogether with the whole Szczecin old town. It has been recovered after cleaning of the war debris in Podzamcze. In 1954 the Tower has been put into the list of historical monuments

Roma,
This is a very fine blue hour shot! You managed to capture both natural and artificial lighting in nice balance. Your composition is great using the the path to lead the eye into the shot. The vertical format works well here providing nice depth and detail. The photo is sharp and crisp with nice light management through out.
TFS,
Asa
