Photographer’s Note

Hello Trekkies,
Our Koszalin tour continues...
Today I would like to present you the Town Hall – the seat of the municipal authorities erected within the period of 1960-62.
Itis the sixth town hall in city’s history. The Old Town market was elineated during town establishment in the XIIIth century. From the beginning of the XIIIth century until the XVIIIth century a town hall was located in the middle of the market. One of the town halls burnt down during the great city’s fire in 1718. In 1720 a new town hall was built at market’s south side, nearby the Cathedral. After a hundred years it was demolished and another building was erected within the period of 1827-1830; it was modernised in 1877. The last pre-war town hall existed until March 1945; it burnt down during city capturing operation.
In PP I tried to achieve a little bit post-apocalyptic effect... ;)
Just to not be boring! :)
Thank you for seeing!!!
Chris
PS: And small funny story: on the left hand side you can see a monument with three columns. At three sides of this monument there is description: WE WERE, WE ARE, WE WILL BE. During the communism in Poland very often some invisible hand have added a small supplement: ...HUNGRY! :)))
