Don't worry about black humour, it is very funny imo. I like the way you captured hand behind lady's head and how you interpret it :)
Focusing on hand, and rest is blur, is an essential for "e.t." concepts for sure, and B&W also supports the idea. I can't imagine e.t. calling his (or her I am not sure) family in a multicolored background :)

Wonderful play with the DOF, a lot to learn here, only that hand, mysterious and simply great.
