Photographer’s Note

Pila is situated in the northern part of the Wielkopolska Region,on the banks of the Gwda river, which flows into the Notec river a few kilometers south of the town. The river meanders through the town and divides in the town's center creating an island.
The town seen from the bird's perspective appears to be green.Half of its area is covered by parks and forests entering the open spaces between the modern residential districts. The charm of the town is greatly enhanced by the eight lakes located in close vicinity, with the Zalew Koszyce being the largest one.The Plotki Lake is the most popular water sports resort located within the town's limits and surrounded by pine forest.
