Ostrow Wielkopolski, part III
This Church called FARA was built between 1905-1907 according to a design of Sylwester Pajzderski and modified by Roger Slawski. In the surrounding we can see earlier structures like the Catholic House or presbytery. St. Stanislaw's Church, as it is called, was built in Neo-Romanesque style- it has got three naves and a high tower, hi the square in front of FARA there stands a monument of archbishop Ledochowski, who was kept in prison in Ostrow during Kulturkampf (1874-1876).
Ostrow Wielkopolski is the important economic-cultural centre of southern Wielkopolska Region. It has the area of 42 sq. km wherein live 75,000 inhabitants. It is one of the most attractive cities offering the investment conditions. Ostrow is the centre of well developed industry: food processing machine factory, railway transport means repair factory, machine industry, automation industry, building materials industry and wood processing industry as well.
There are some attractive sports and recreation areas round Ostrow, they are called "Piaski - Szczygliczka", situated in the north-eastern part of the city. The areas are surrounded by a forest, while the main part is the artificial lake. There are some water facilities for attraction of children and adults. There is a "Jogging Path" in the wood. Many people go there, especially at the weekends, because there are pop and rock music concerts, as well as discos organised.
We have not only the sports centre, but also the cinema, the largest in the region, called "Komeda" after the famous Polish musician.
We can go to Antonin, the place being famous for Chopin's stay in the 19th century. There is popular Hunting Palace wherein the Chopin concerts are held every weekend, mainly on Sundays, throughout summer till the autumn when people have opportunity to listen to foreign and domestic pianists playing Chopin's music - it is called "Chopin in Autumn Colours".
Near the city centre we have a large park with swans staying on the island, in the middle of the pond. Moreover, we have a few other parks used by people for walking.
There are a few discotheques available for teenagers in the city centre and outside the city. There are also open-air "beer gardens" where you can meet friends and drink cold beverages or eat ice-creams during the warm days. All such gardens are available round the Square Market.

Wspaniały kadr, pięknie uchwycony. Super kolory i opis. Widzę znajome widoki, rzeĽba po prawej stronie występuje, jako rzeĽba nagrobna na jednym z cmentarzy parafialnych w Poznaniu.

Well captured, Aleksander. The colours are rich without oversaturation. The detail is very fine, and the sentiment and meaning to the portrayal important. As always, an excellent note to match the shot. Well done. Regards.
