Saint John the Baptist parish church in Krotoszyn.
Building 1592-1597.

Krotoszyn is a town in central Poland with 30,010 inhabitants as of 2005. It has been part of the Greater Poland Voivodeship since 1999; it was within Kalisz Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998.

In the German era, this town was in the Prussian province of Posen. The dominant trade is in grain and seeds, and the headquarters of the Polish branch of Mahle GmbH is located there. The castle of Krotoszyn was the centre of a mediatized principality formed in 1819 out of the holdings of the Prussian crown and granted to the prince of Thurn and Taxis in compensation for his relinquishing control over the Prussian postal system.

A fine point of view on this impressive church tower that sits so well against that lovely sky. I like very much the burnished red tones of the bricks and the excellent colour contrasts. The background building partially in shadow helps give the image depth.

Ten sam ko¶ció³, co poprzednio , ale tu w wiêkszym zbli¿eniu z naciskiem na pokazanie piêknej wie¿y. ciekawa kamienica w g³êbii. Bardzo dobra kompozycja w super kolorystyce i doskona³ej jako¶ci.
