Photographer's Note

Krotoszyn is a town in central Poland with 30,010 inhabitants as of 2005. It has been part of the Greater Poland Voivodeship since 1999; it was within Kalisz Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998.

In the German era, this town was in the Prussian province of Posen. The dominant trade is in grain and seeds, and the headquarters of the Polish branch of Mahle GmbH is located there. The castle of Krotoszyn was the centre of a mediatized principality formed in 1819 out of the holdings of the Prussian crown and granted to the prince of Thurn and Taxis in compensation for his relinquishing control over the Prussian postal system.

Hello Krszysztof,
To get the whole block of houses into the picture gave you a problem of what to do with the inevitable large and empty square. I think you have solved it well by including the tree and its strange "pot". Also the uneven diagonal lines created by the paving-stones have created a pattern that makes us forget about the emptiness. Most important is that the houses are beautiful and the light and colours are superb.

It is very attractive this market place with lots of interesting architecture to retain the viewer's attention. The shrub makes a good anchor point, directing the viewer across the cobbled square toward the line of buildings. Excellent technical presentation.

Spacious and beautiful market square, I like the POV chosen with this plant in the right foreground, which helps give more perspective to the composition.
A lovely colorful and varied facades, both sharpness and brightness are excellent.

bardzo ladny krotoszynski rynek. Sliczne kamieniczki oraz ich fasady. Piekna pogoda Ci dopisala wykonujac to sliczne kolejne zdjecie. Podba mi sie ze uzyles szerokokatnego obiektywu. Sliczna pozctowka. Podoba mi sie. Super zdjecie.

A lively multicolor market place, you have detailed all its features to life with great control of highlights. An intriguing image shrouded by wonderful blue sky and play of light and shadows. Bardzo interesujace zdjecie zrobione z niskiej pozycji. Swietna kompozycja z wazonem po prawej stronie in rzedem kolorowych kamieniczek w tle. Zdjecie ma dobra jakosc a takze ciekawa notatke.
