Photographer's Note

Krobia is a town situated in the western part of Poland, in Greater Poland Voivodeship. Center of small folklore region - Biskupizna.

The interior of the chapel
St. Giles Church is one of the oldest places of worship Wielkopolska. According to Jan Dlugosz church was founded by Wladyslaw Herman and the date of the foundation shall be approximately the years 1102 -1108. A stone church was on fire several times, but always has been restored keeping with the style. Renovated in 1440 by the bishop Poznan Andrew of Bnin , and in the years 1605.1802 and 1929. In the south wall are visible traces of three Romanesque windows bricked up, and the window gothic pyramid and portal of about 1440. Western elevation of the portal at the beginning of the seventeenth century Baroque topped peak. Inside the late Baroque altar with statues of saints and image of the Pieta of the date of 1669, classical mensa, the pulpit of the mid-nineteenth century Rococo sculpture of an angel, granite Romanesque baptistery.
The church now serves as the cemetery chapel.
