In Bethlehem Jesus was born in stable. In memory of this fact in Polish churches in time of Christmas faithful people make decoration called "szopka". In this scene Mary, Joseph, Tiny Jesus, shepherds and animals are present. This "szopka" was established in Panewnmiki Basilica in Katowice. There are three different decorations there, including this one with real alive animals.

Hi Jan, so you know Serge Gainsbourg? I like this picture of heuh, what you call it, a creche? In France, we still do them for Chirstmas, but very small and usually in plastic, berk! There, you have real animals, it makes a big difference. Have a look at my two pictures of "Little Jesus in your heart", please, just for the laugh...
