Photographer’s Note
Do you remember this photo?
I tried today to remake it in quite different light conditions and with another camera and lenses. That photo has been taken in winter with Canon G7. Today's upload - with Canon 450D with 55-250IS lenses.
To remake photo is a risky job, but I hope you will like new version too.
Regards!

cos sobie przypominam, ze kolega pisal ostatnio o uwielbieniu cz/b?...:-))
kapitalny efekt płytkiej GO na zdjęciu... osobiście jednak bym ciął na dole wzdłuż barierki...
podoba mi sie, cz/b by utraciło dużo wdzięku...

Good morning, Jan!
This one really is intriguing - even in the small version - and the comparison with the "old" photo is amazing! Here I like especially this incredible graphic effect of all these facades and power cables.
Again a true "jasmis" ;-)
Have a nice day - WITH car again ?!

Bonjour Jan
Je ne me souviens pas de l'ancienne photo et ta galerie est trop importante pour que j'essaie de la retrouver. La statue est très nette sur un flou artistique. Du bon travail.
Je te souhaite une bonne journée.

Hello Jan,
An original view, combining old and new, and a fine combination of vertical lines crossed by the surprising effect of the green cables horizontally crossing the view. Fine darker colours.

Jestem zachwycona K O L O R A M I ! ...mon Ami :)
pogodnego dnia Janku, iza

Good Morning Jan,
If I didn't know from looking at all the references you have included, I would think this was a juxtaposition of perhaps three separate photographs.
Using the long focal length with a fairly small aperture compressed everything and I think you may have let a street car or train roll quickly by in the background.
Well, it's hard to dissect, because I see very little information regarding how you shot this photograph and the exif data seems to be missing.
Tsk, how can we learn if we do not have the facts...
Trial and error, I suppose, guessing, certainly. We could never really imitate your style and composition, not truly, at least not all of the time. Hmmm.
I suppose I should be happy just to look and experience this fotka, so I will. I think that technically this is one of the most intriguing shots you have produced, Jan. I liken it to George's "There will be no blood..." entry. Another enigma to me. With both shots I cannot see that they looked this way in the viewfinder when you snapped that shutter open and closed, however long that took.
So, risky job or not, I find that you improved greatly on your earlier shot. I could figure out how you made that one! I have to make this one a favorite so I can refer back to it from time to time - for inspiration.
Thank you,
Reed

Hi Jan
hmmm, hard to say which one I do prefer...anyway, no matter the POV, I think this is one of your best urban shots ever, I really like it...even this statue wrapped around its cross looks human. A stunning POV, great light management and St. John waiting for the Summer to come (next Wednesday we all celebrate St. John's, the night of witches!).
Take care
Rikk

Witaj Jan.
Excellent work with the light and the composition. This one is very different than the other one but I love both.

cześć Janek,
Ta figura wydaje sie calkie m duża, a jak pamietam jest maleńka. fajny efekt tych scieśnionych domów i kabli. Doczekał lata, ale co to za lato? marna pogoda.
Za tydzień...
Pozdrawiam

Świetnie wypatrzone (zderzenie sacrum i profanum, codzienności i święta)i uchwycone (kolory, proporcje światła, linie, okna...tyle rózności zamkniętych w jednej całości).
pozdrawiam
