Photographer’s Note
4th June 1989...
Symbolic day for Poland. The first partly free parliament election after IIWW. The end of socialist system. The day of hope and freedom.
20 years have gone... Can we take advantage of this time or we are able only to burn the tires...?

czesc Jan,
this is a very important date for Polska....
the first partly free elections after socialism....and Nazi Occupation before it!
Freedom in the troubled history of Poland
as far as your country is concerned...it's a pity that in Italy we have practically no street dedicated to Polish Army and General Anders who fought on Montecassino.
(since we still have so many towarisc here....they did not want to bother their "red" friends??)
pozdro

Hallo Jan!
Again a difficult to digest contribution. I can understand your thoughts because I many many times have experienced real socialism in the eastern part of my country. I think, freedom shouldn't be underestimated ...
A thought-provoking picture and note as well...
Greetings from again very cool Siegen!

Obeszło się w Gdańsku bez palenia opon. W Katowicach, widać, mniej spokojnie ;))
Dobry przekaz. I zdjęcie dobre.
Pozdrowienia od morza T.

Your note is short but very clear, as also your photo.
Simple, but very good work.

Hi Jan,
Gdy wieje wiatr historii,
Ludziom jak pieknym ptakom,
Rosna skrzydla, natomiast
Trzesa sie portki petakom.
