Photographer’s Note

I took the photo in Sopot, a well-known tourist resort in northern Poland. I went for a walk on a very cold and extremely windy day (although it was already June) and at the Sopot pier I spotted these swans just before they swam away. It was funny to watch how they braved the huge waves: rocked by the waves they went up and down, and each time a wave hit one of them, there was a big splash. They seemed to enjoy it, though.

Hi Weronika, I like this simple shot of swans on the beach - I am more used to seeing them on rivers or canals inland so this makes anice change for me. Good photo and good notes too.
