Photographer’s Note

One day I woke up, looked through the window and saw something new. Since few months not far from my home grow many windmills. I tried to use this fact and to put the sunset behind these energy-producers. This is the capture from the forest where I train on my bike. In that day there was 12 windmills, today I don`t count precisely, but almost 30.
Look carefully, there is the Sun visible just above the horizon.
Next photo will be about other way of getting energy :).
In WS the close-up on the Sun.

Hallo Henryk!
A wonderful sight and I think it shows the right way concerning energy. MAny people hate these windmills - but I think 1000 of them arent't as ugly (and dangerous) as a nuclear plant ...
You caught a great atmosphere here!

Beautiful photo with fantastic colours in a sky full of nice horizontal clouds. The silhouettes of the trees and windmills stand out well against the background. Very well seen and captured!

Hello Henryk,

The sunset is awesome with its well saturated orange tones. The windmill, though small, provide a nice focal point in the image and create a sense of giving the sky its eergy. Well spotted elements to compose the image. Thanks Henryk.

Love them or hate them, the wind turbines make wonderful graphic silhouettes against the stunning colours of the sunrise. I'm pleased to see some natural silhouettes too. The horizontal lines of the clouds are quite unusual, but are an attractive sight. I also like the WS but prefer this one. Well done

beautiful composition, a spectacular sunset colour, very well captured with the layers of clouds and the shadow of the windmill. The sharpness is very good and the light management is excellent. the plane on top crossing the sky is a nice plus

So you're next door to the windmills!
There are at least two different opinions about this mean of producing energy, fact is it takes a huge number of them to produce an amount of energy that matters...
Here they discuss placing them far off shore, not visible from landside!
This is a colourful presentation, good texture in the sky and sharp fine silhouettes...

Wiatraki jak wiatraki , szpeca krajobraz , mnie osobiscie podoba sie niebo , piekne ogniste kolory , ale to nie wszystko co mi sie podoba , mianowicie to cos co frunie , leci lub spada , dodaje swietnego efektu .

Przyjemnie tak popatrzeæ na morze ciep³ych barw rozlanych na niebie. Zdaje mi siê nawet, ¿e jakby ma¼niêcia pêdzla tu widaæ ;). Bardzo ³adnie wygl±daj± tu ciemne sylwety na "niebieskim" tle. Wyj±tkowo¶æ temu zdjêciu szczególnie nadaj± sylwetki wiatraków oraz tarcza S³onka :). Podoba mi siê te¿ nastrój tego zdjêcia - taki malarski, romantyczny, nieco ba¶niowy...
Jako¶ tak cieplej na sercu mi siê robi, gdy zerkam na ten obraz :). Mo¿na by rzec, ¿e to zdjêcie wytwarza duchow± energiê ciepln± ;D.
Jest piêkne i ciep³e :).

Windmills…saw a forest of them in my last trip to Rajasthan. They’re changing the horizon alright. Great sunrise picture especially with the horizontal streaks of clouds. What’s that flying into the picture at the top…a plane?

the silhouettes of this windmill farm in this hour of the day make the shot great.The expansive horizontal view here and the subdued light, with the sun still painting pastoral colors in the clouds makes this a memorable shot.Informative your note too.

³adne sylwetki drzew nieporadnie rywalizuj± z grup± walecznych "zamiataczy" powietrza. To zdjêcie ma co¶ z Don kichota i do tego wspania³y zachód s³oñca w tle. Ju¿ samo to zjawisko piêknie eksponuje sie w tym kadrze. Szeroki kadr bardziek mi odpowiada ni¼li ten w WS'ie, ale i ten ma trochê z tej samej magii.

Sun & wind, forms of renewable energy - thoughtful, Henryku. Here, in my country, they discuss the issue more and more often, even today radio news were talking about some investments in wind energy production. I've heard there are pros and cons regarding this way of producing energy but at least it's good that people are becoming more and more involved in finding solutions to protect the environment.
I like the photo, conveys a melancholic mood to me. I can't really put it in words but I've always liked windmills, even their modern substitutes, the wind turbines - it's a strange sensation, as if they are helping the earth to 'breathe easier' - nevermind, it's just my twisted mind :)

Wykonałem kiedyś cos podobnego w okolicach Kołobrzegu i nawet tytuł dałem zblizony: Natural NRG. Na TE tego nie umiesciłem bo robione było idiotproof camera koleżanki i jakość nie jest powalająca. Interesująco wygladają te siłownie o zachodzie. Ja także nie moge się oprzeć takim widokom.

Hello Henryk,

I like very much your metaphor, "Growing windmills," as alternative forms of energy are increasingly going to become necessary. I would have guessed some years ago that we would have developed controlled fusion by now. With exorbitant prices for fossil fuels having arrived, I believe there will be a push, a mass mobilization to develop the inexhaustible source of energy.

Olá Henryk, I actually find these modern windmills quite photogenic and I like the visual impact of them in the landscape. They have a very simple and elegant shape and work in silence and smooth. Amazing sky you present here.
