Photographer’s Note

I see sometimes the winners of contests and there are a lot of ugly photos, for example a nail in concret... I wonder how one can admire a lot of time such a yawner (I hope it is a correct word), but it happens. I wonder if I`m correct trying to take a beauty of nature instead of dirty wall in the ugliest part of the town. I wonder if I should spend many hours with horses, to be out of sleep, with wet shoes, bitten by mosquitoes, or maybe I should wander once a month at my streets and then praise how big artist am I...
I think that is something sick in this "art" and I suspect that it is created by people, who cannot take a really good photograph... instead they catch our notice somewhere else...;)

The problem maybe solved for some time, because today my camera was flooded several times and it doesn`t work any more. I hope that after a day it will dry and it revive. In the other case, still I have a few thousand images to show ;).

Very well done the horse is coming out the misty mood. The light is very well spread, touching each element.
This result from a hunt is great, and even if the mosquitoes have bitten you you can be satified, a lot will like this one like I do.

O takie właśnie patenty chodzi. Ile jest zdjęć koni na TE? Pewnie wiele. Za to u Ciebie koń to element kompozycji, patentu (jednego z wielu) na piękną fotografię. Jeśli chodzi o opis - hmmm zastanawiający...sądzisz że chodzi o zalany aparat? A może to jakiś kryzys wieku średniego?

Ile¿ to wysi³ku i po¶wiêcenia nawet, kosztuje zrobienie "niezwyk³ej", artystycznej fotografii?... Nie tyle (i nie tylko) ³adnej, ale przede wszystkim niezwyk³ej. Ty co¶ na ten temat mo¿esz powiedzieæ i nieco o tym piszesz w opisie do zdjêcia...
Fotografia jest nastrojowa poprzez mg³y otulaj±ce ³±kê, roz¶wietlane przez poranne S³onko. ¦rodek lata, a mi tu ju¿ jesieni± pachnie, jak zerkam na te pajêczynki :). ¦wietne "zamglone" ¶wiat³o i ciep³e barwy kreuj± tê ciekaw± "konikow±" kompozycjê. Czuæ poranny ch³ód ;). Po prostu: niezwyk³e, nastrojowe zdjêcie. Podoba mi siê :).

Skad Ty bierzesz takie widoki w Polsce?? Ja dookla widze tylko samochody, meneli na smietnikach i takie tam:) A u Ciebie jak konie to konie jak na dzikim zachodzie, jak gory to jak w Himalajach, jak pustynia to jak na Saharze... Idzie doline zlapac przez Ciebie:)

There is so much poetry and fantasy in this photo ! Certainly much better than a rusty nail in concrete in an uggly town (although there are also good city photos around here) - your note is really interesting too, and I hope that your camera will dry quickly, but you seem to have anyway lots of other good shots in store to show us...

Amazing light with the sun piercing through the mist. It is placing some good highlights on the horse and the grasses. Like all your photos it is very atmospheric.

Ciekawa i nieco prowokacyjna notka. No cóż, ilu artystów tyle spojrzeń na sztukę, ale o tym można dyskutować godzinami... Co do zdjęcia - coby nie powtarzać wszystkich superlatyw powiem krótko - podoba mi się :)

Yes, I know how disapointed you are with the result of many contests and you really don't apreciate photojornalism images, but I have to say that I was like you and TE changed me in the way of apreciating urban captures of daily life with people. Anyway, you should be happy since you are really good with landscape photography and one of the guys that most impresse me here. Fantastic mood in this image. A pitty to know about your camera but you allways pushed it too much in rough conditions. I hope it is recovered by now...

I remember well your photos of the horses and the details of the grass (and even a spider cobweb); I am glad you visited the place again, and captured the view in a similar mood. Whatever hardship you went to in order to take this photograph, it is worth it, but you have deserved a night of star gazing.

Hi Henryku,
Love the atmosphere in this picture - idyllic, peaceful (I'm thinking of Charlotta Valley :) ). The sun light gives such a nice, soft effect to the morning mist & the brownish tones are wonderful.

Your note - there is much to debate here - such a subjective issue... In the end, I think, it's just a matter of how we resonate to different kinds/ genres of photography/ messages.

The horse in the FG meadow, the rays of sun in the mist and the angle of the line of trees all come3 together to make a very balanced an attractive compo, IMHO. Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My father still sees my mother as the most beautiful woman in the world; he tells her often that she is his beautiful love. You would see her as an ancient ruin. HLJ, Pat

Hi Henryk. It is probably the ugly art that finds it’s way onto the ugly walls of sterile high-rise condominiums in the concrete jungles of our new world. But that’s just a guess ;-). You have certainly captured the beauty in this scene. Well controlled light and composition. Thanks for sharing.

Tak, zdecydowanie warto wcze¶nie wstawaæ i o ile jest to mo¿liwe niekoniecznie w du¿ym mie¶cie. Nale¿y tak zrobiæ choæby dla niesamowitego ¶wiat³a, jakie o tej porze dnia nagle roz¶wietla horyzont, a kiedy nad ziemi± unosz± siê resztki mgie³ to widok jest taki w³asnie jak na tym zdjêciu. Hi Henryk,
Still chuckling over your note, with which I agree - particularly since I have a struggle appreciating much "modern art." This shot has an ethereal quality, with the rays of the sun fanning out and blending with the morning grasses, shrouding the trees. The horse really makes the scene work. Some might fine the scene too soft, particularly the grasses, but I like the painterly look very much. Hope your camera is soon operational, but your inventory at hand should see you through in any event. Cheers.

Sama nostalgia w tej mgle porannej. Zdumiewające światło a jeszcze bardziej ciepła kolorystyka, choć słońce zdawałoby się dość już wysoko. Bardzo malarskie w stylu starych mistrzów... No i konie - nasza nieustająca wciąż tęsknota... Bardzo piękne zdjęcie, z tych pięknych naj... :))
Trochę poczułam się niekomfortowa, jako że sporo zdjęć pokazuję z miasta a te w "terenie" nie bardzo mi wychodzą ;))). Mam nadzieję, że z aparatem wszystko dobrze i dalej będzie Tobie i nam :)) służył.

Henryk, I' m more than glad that you didn't present us with a rusty nail on the wall, but hung this beauty on the nail. It reminds me your series of horses that you did last year. The atmosphere is simply beautiful. Quite interesting that you got the star effect of the sun with mere f/11.
