Photographer’s Note

Hello again, this time again day. I hope you had a nice dreams with my night serie ;).
I saw this view during one of my walk along the Slupia river and decide to capture these clouds because of this black eye in one of them. I wonder how it creates, maybe someone would know?

I use a CPL, brightened the grass in Photoshop.

A fine and different landscape shot ... I like the mix of nature and clouds...simple composition for a great effect, the sky is powerfull and the lighting is great !

it seems to me that this is a case for the X-files... have no idea of how or why it happens but in sure raises the question. Is it a natural phenomena or in camera? now I'm curious... cheers, Enrique

Even without the black eye this would have been a nice landscape photo. But this certainly looks amazing. Maybe a freak appearance? You got sharp eyes to catch the phenomenon.

Wg. mnie mogles nie rozjasniac trawy az tak bardzo, byloby bardziej tajemniczo, fajne to oko. moze to najwyzszy patrzy na swiat przez takie szklo w niebie :)

Nigdy nie widzia³em czego¶ takiego, ciekawe, a nie ufo to czasami? Chmurki wysz³y bardzo ³adnie, faktycznie trawa chyba niepotrzenie rozja¶ni³e¶, ale ca³o¶æ bardzo udana.

A very strong sky, clouds are quite awesome though I have no explanation for the black spot!

Hi!
So many clouds, and they look so "close" to the ground! Really nice! An unusual phenomenon (for me) the "black eye". I've always thought clouds are special (love their shapes and the mood they transmit) but this one is pretty uncommon. I'm affraid I can't help you with an explanation!
Have you tried to get a closer image, focusing more the black spot? It would be interesting to analize it :)

Hello Henrik,
The pov form which you've taken the photo makes the sky like being one little jump from the ground. As the gallic would sayon "Asterix" books: ' the sky is gonna fall on our heads'-
Great contrast betqeen the ground and the clouds. The sky with all these clouds is really great and the light of this image is great also.

The clouds are so beautiful...but the "black eye" is so strange...and you say that in Portugal the skys are strange ...eheheh

This is an excellent landscape shot anyway, but the added interest of the strange black eye makes it even more interesting. I think your use of the filter has made the tone warm, but I'm not sure about the overall effect. Am left wondering for an explanation of the black eye

Pewnie, ze chcia³o bysiê w tym zobaczyæ UFO lub co¶ podobnie fascynuj±cego, ale równie fascynujaca mo¿e byæ chmura ptaków np. szpaków, które tysi±cami przelatuj± zbite w ciasne gromady. A mo¿e jednak... ³adny widoczek, niez³e kolory no i to "co¶" jeszcze ukryte w chmurkach.

At first I did not understand the reason behind naming this photo as "black eye". But, now I can see what is the cause! It is amazing. You have got a good eye to notice it and perfectly framed it in the beautiful landscape.

How the hell do you get these clouds? Your cloudy machine works really great and now it also gives extra special effects with black eyes...Impressive capture with amazing colors as usual. You create strong perspectives with skies like nobody else. Superb image!

Hi Henryk,
The composition of this beautiful landscape is very good, capturing clouds in contrast to the blue sky and the so green grass. Lighting and the colors are excellent.
On the black eye of this small spot, I am going to be bold and to think that it was a small insect that was placed over your objective, since it is outside center. Surely I am mistaken, but I not have found another more logical explanation.

i was browsing your gallery and landed on this one. No because of the black eye but because of the beautiful clouds and the over this green landscape. Beautiful picture. Noow the black eye; never saw such a thing while i enjoy spending time at looking at clouds. This is really strange.
