The Tall Ships' Races 2009 Photo

Photographer’s Note

Since yesterday Gdynia hosts the most prestigious and the biggest SHIPS. They'll be here till Sunday the 5th and then will sail to St Petersburg.
The ships were here for the first time in 1973 and the last time in 2003 - there were over 120 vessels.My last time I saw them was in Turku, but only for a few minutes while getting on the Silja Line Ferry, so today I had HUGE fun...
Gdynia also hosts at the same time two other big festivals - Heineken Open'er and The Polish Mountain Car Race in Sopot - which means that the whole Tricity is paralised when it comes to the traffic.
I'm wondering how EURO 2012 is going to be organised...???? Will we walk?

The vertical view is a very good choice and I like it a lot. The scene and colours are good too and you've done a good composition.

Widze, ze kazdemu jest pisane miec w swojej galerii malarza w pracy;) Imprezka fajna- w Dublinie w zeszlym roku bylem tylko przelotem i wiem, ze obiektow i tematow do fotografowania nie brakuje. Swietne kolory i swiatlo.

Świetna podpatrywanka, obraz w obrazie. Zazdroszczę malarzowi (notabene świetnie umieszczonego w kadrze), że na swym obrazie może wybrać czy będą na nim ludzie (i ilu) czy też nie :)
Widzę, że pogoda świetna i duże zaintersowanie.

Bardzo fajna kompozycja,
Taki powtorzony motyw zawsze swietnie dziala.
Rzadko podobaja mi sie ludzie w kadrze ale tutaj to wszystko bardzo przyjemnie pasuje do siebie.

Niestety obowiązki i wyjazd służbowy nie pozwolił mi w pełni zasmakować atmosfery tej wspaniałej imprezy... bardzo żałuję, bo działo się wiele jak widać.

Na szczęście zdążyłem na paradę
