I'm sure we have all experienced the 'street performer'.
You know the guy, the guy who sells his artwork and many people stand around admiring his or her talent.
I came across the scene in the heart of Gdansk's main square. I was standing there with these other people, and i was trying to look for a unique POV...then it hit me...
Why not stand in behind everyone, get behind the crowd.
Its a neat peek into the entire scene, or at least i thought it was at the time...what do you think?
Thanks for looking

Amazing street scene indeed. I was here but probably this guy had a day off or just coffee break ))) Well seen, good contribution to the "Talents and Fans" theme.

so many people on your photo, strange for you! And what is the guy actually doing? Interesting scene from Gdańsk.

Yes, it worked well. Nice to see how the crowd is captivated by the street artist and his work. The BG also works very well. Regards.

Indeed, an interesting scene here of this very simple moment. Like the way you presented people here who didn't notice you and still looking at the street artist. Well seen and composed. All the best in 2013!

Well, it's quite interesting. I like the POV and there's a little bit of curiosity seeing how all are looking at the street performer's next move.
Enjoy a great new year!

The point of view is indeed well chosen, showing the artist at his work surrounded by his admirers. A very good capture of this lively scene. I like the contrasting geometric patterns offered by the windows in the background. All the best to you and yours for 2013!

Great street scene captured from the artist presents his own, probably very interesting work. In the background, a beautiful Gdansk houses, evidence of the Hanseatic city's past. Excellent image quality.
Happy New Year

Splendid daily life scene. Feels curiosity to pursue the representation of the artist. Good capture!
Happy new year!

Good Morning Craig,
I have studied the faces and the body language; there is definitely interest, curosity, judgement. (I love how they have left the fourth side of the square for you to occupy!)
A very well composed shot, with good guide lines and a fine dof.
My only disappointment is that you haven't added a w/s detailing what the guy is doing. Dam! I'm so curious as well!
All the very best for the New Year,

lovely street scene. The performer seems to prepare for the performance and yet plenty of people watch him already. The townhouses make an excellent background for the scene and the girl with long legs adds some more interest.
Have a happy New Year!

C'est une très bonne idée que je vais surement essayer un jour. Surtout si l'une des personnes que l'on observe a des superbes et longues jambes. L'arrière plan est de toute beauté.
Bonne et heureuse année 2013

Hi dear Craig
Happy street perofomaer and performance! We can see sometimes these shows in Tokyo too. Nice panfocus shot to cover all audiences too. The best suitable shot to present the ending of this year. Very impressive image as your taste as usual. Thank you for your sincere support and kindness to me in 2012 and have a greatest new year for you!

Ah yes, a behind the scenes shot. Good on you, I'd be too afraid to do this, but it really is the best POV, because you get the artist and the spectators in the frame. The wide angle works especially well here and we get a great view of the wonderful architecture this city is no well known for. Nice one, and you;ve dealt with the difficult light conditions extremely well.
Happy New Year to you, Tosca, Scoobi and the family. I wish you every happiness and everything you wish for. And especially lots of travels and photos. Not sure what we'll be up to tonight. We've done the harbour foreshore many times before, but it's a bit of a sh*tfight with all the people wanting to trample all over you. Maybe we'll just watch the fireworks on the telly with a nice bottle of bubbly :) We'll be thinking of you and here's a virtual "cin cin" to you :)

I agree with you Craig, you had a great idea to frame the scene like that, from behind. It makes we feel like we were there on the spot and watch the guy and the scene with you and other people standing there. But I have to also mention other thing-namely Gdansk´s architecture, which makes here really beautiful background.Well noticed and executed shot!
Happy New Year!
