Photographer’s Note
Today I'll show you a Monument to fallen Shipyard Workers in Gdańsk which is situated in front of the Gdansk Shipyard. I've been there s many times trying to take a shot but always unsuccessfully, usually due to bad weather.
Gdańsk Shipyard (Stocznia Gdańska) is a large Polish shipyard, located in the city of Gdańsk. The yard gained international fame when Solidarity (Solidarność) was founded there in September 1980. It is situated on the left side of Martwa Wisła and on Ostrów Island.
What's more...
And something more according to Wikipedia:
Over 60 years, Stocznia Gdańska has delivered more than 1000 seagoing ships to owners all over the world. In recent years, the top deliveries have been container ships, reefers, bulk carriers and passenger ro-ro ferries. Most ships are designed in their own design office. Gdansk shipyards have fallen on hard times. Once a place of work for over 20,000 people, the Gdansk shipyards provide only 3,000 jobs today. Design and construction of ships has remained the main activity of the yard. Work for the offshore industry began in the 21st century.
Remontowa S.A. owns 7 floating docks which can accommodate vessels up to 290m in length and approximately 135 000 dwt. Gdańska Stocznia is the leader of the Remontowa group, which also includes Northern Shipyard and smaller companies. Remontowa SA is one of the largest companies in Poland and was listed in the top three largest ship repair yards in Europe and the top five in the world by specialist magazine Drydock.

Hello Gosia,
Une contre plongée qui fait tout son effet. Beaucoup de profondeur et un format bien choisi.
De très belles couleurs pour ce ciel qui met l'ouvrage en valeur.
Best regards

Hello Gosia,
A fine angle to bring the monument in a strong diagonal and profiled against a clear blue sky. A lot of history is symbolised here.

Czesc Gosiu,
Kolor nieba oraz kontrast z tym zelazem jest niesamowity. Czasem bezchmurne niebo daje duzo ciekawszy efekt. Sprytnie skomponowane.

Pomnik nie wymaga komentarza, wszyscy go znamy. Dobry kadr "po skosie", dzieki temu sporo sie zmiescilo przy strzeleniu z bliska.
