There are not only sand on dunes. Life also occurs there, some of plants imitate even animals :).
When the morning frost retired, the ice-crystals turns to water drops and remain untill they evaporate...
This was the last frosty day (night) this spring.

Take a look at workshops.

Looking to that hedgehog i think that just a second later than your click, it was running on the beach, away from that strange long mammal with a strange black box in the hands!
brilliant shot Henryk.
thanks, ciao

Hi Henryk.

MAybe I'd preffered a more opened view but it's a nice picture.

Excellent colours!

Rgs, Oscar

:) hi henryk,
nicely captured form of life (be it plant or animal ... does it matter anyway? ... important is that it's alive :) ... love those little drops of water, and the mixture of yellow and green 'leaves' ... sign that the plant is growing new ones, just as it should in spring. good contrast with the sand around it - well seen (hedgehog ... :)!
thanks,
dora

ps: "strange long mammal with a strange black box in the hands" :)))

Indeed it always make me think at some strange animal. A nice shot with one water drop on each herb it seems. A goog catch.

Hi Henryk,

Great picture! And you surely have a good sense of humour haha. Would have fitted in that category as well ;-).

I like the little drops of water and the sharp detail in your hedgehog. Well spotted and nicely done!!

Greetings, Dennis

Hi Henryk,
Nicely textured compo, with the 'hedgehog' well positioned, good light increases these textures and colors, good use of narrow DOF to isolate the subject. Nice WS too!

Witaj Henryku,
Znów trochę ciepłego słoneczka w kadrze i ładne, boczne światło ładnie podkreślaja delikatny rysunek wydmy.
Pozdrawiam,
Jurek

He,he,he, nice porcupine, Henryk - I don't know the diference to an hedgehog. I like all the three photos and can't decide which one I like more...so I won't decide :))) but the WSs complement well this one. Love the droplets.
Nice to see another one from you.

Hej Henryku :)
Czyżby to nowy gatunek jeża wydmowego?... ;)
W każdym razie jest śliczny ze swymi kolorowymi kolcami, na końcach których widzę wodne brylanciki :). Super się on prezentuje w świetle słonecznym. Podoba mi się również to, jak pobawiłeś się ostrością na zdjęciu.
Zdjęcie świetne! :)

Pozdrawiam cieplutko :)

P.S. A w ws baaardzo podoba mi się zbliżenie na kropelki :).

Hi Henryk,
Interesting composition. Really looks like a hedgehog. The light that shines on the bush, and the way it stands out is very nice. Colors also very nice. Nice details. Best regards. Salvator.

Hello Henryk
Indeed this looks like a hedgehog...but why not a wider perspective? Just thinking aloud..then I saw your WS, especially #1. Love the drops of ice seen clearly in #2. A very good package

Witam Henryk,
ciekawa ta roslinka i jaka musi byc mocna zeby przezyc w takich warunkach, ladna fotka dobry kadr, pozdr

Hello Henryk,
An interesting photo & notes. And made even more interesting with your WS. I like the water droplets in the closeup but I like this one too as the first presentation. Good idea. Regards. Latiff.

Very attractive shot. Excellent capture of this wonderful grass. Lovely detail and colours. Excellent done!
Best wishes,
Achim

Hello Henryk,

Superb shot, but I would call this an "African porcupine," or a "North Amercan Porcupine," rather than a "hedgehog." But then, who wants to split hair. Your photo reveals color and texture, in contrast with the fine grained sand. The Worshop is also very interesting and reveals detail.

Warm regards,
Bulent

Hi Mr. Bilor,
This photo is a proof that you are into becoming a dune-man :)
Having got the essentials from the sand and shown us the great sculptor, now you turn your camera into the details of this smoothly sophisticted habitat. Hedgehog is good but imho, the droplets in the WS are just perfect. TFS,
Deniz

Hi Henryk, What a great close up, plants are some times missed in places like a desert, however you have captured this one beautifully & the little drops of water on the tips of the storks show up wonderfully well in this superb light, brilliantly composed & TFS, kind regards Wilson.

He-he - good observation :) - lovely hedgehog ;). Thanks, I haven't seen one for a long time :)
A nice picture - just pure nature, simple and yet surprising.
Gentle morning light, good details.
Thank you.
Very nice the WS, too.

Hello Henryk,
we only miss some golden coins and action on the photo to be in presence of new SEGA's sonic:)
But nevertheless I like this approach on the plant which is very impactful not only due to all this pins but also due to the light that striking on it.
The dunes and this neutral colour are a nice background to the main subject.
Cheers.
Paulo

Hi Henryk, finally you're back after a long time of abscence. Your pictures were missed! Nice detailed shot from on of your beaches. Interesting how you can depict this place in so many interesting views. I like this close-up a lot and the droplets on the top of the grass is a real pleasure. It would have been nice to have some direct sunlight on those droplets to give some refelctions and light features on it.

Hi Henryk,
Very interesting thornlike plant. Superb POV, colors and sharpness. I like it very much.

Hi Henryk. This is one of those minimalist shots that works well because technically it is good, and the composition is simple. The close-up of the droplets in the WS is quite artistic too.
