Photographer’s Note
Midday Prayer
Nothing's going on in this image. I was just fascinated when I found young people, at noon, in the old medieval church in Nysa, having a pray. And he was not the only one there.
PP: darkening and increasing contrasts.

Nice colors, nice composition!! I like a lot that you young subject is so dark, and so strong colors are far away.
When I visited Poland, many years ago, I was fascinated too seeing so many people inside the churches.
Have a nice day!! Livia

It's wonderful to find out that young people still pray in Poland. Your photo is not intrusive and I like that. It focuses on the light and I also find that very appropriate for the subject. Very good vertical composition and great exposure in this difficult set. Thanks for sharing this.

Hi Jerzy,
Of course that you want to give importance to the teenager praying and to the meaning of this intriguing moment, but what really attracts me in this image, is the beautiful lighting, which goes well with the religious space. The reflections in the back, the sillouette of the gate and the kind of framing of the lateral stone walls, iluminated also with a lovely light, all elements that make this a good shot.

Hi J.
Maybe a little bit dark I think. I supposo yu did it to contrast more with the colours but from my point is a little bit dark.
Anyway, I like it.

bonjour Jerzy, ici ce qui ressort c 'est la paix intérieure aussi bien chez le jeune homme que dans le lieu, les lumičres sont reposantes avec cette lumičre qui filtre, belle composition

Witaj, Jerzy!
A beautiful play with lights!
Beautiful nightly red against daily white at the background full with colours.
I have picture of the inside of churches in Wroclaw but I'm not posting them, because they don't have this human quality as this one.
have a nice day, Aleks

Hi J,
We're kind of in the same, quiet "neighborhood" today, you and I. I like the colored light effects here, and the very "subtle" presence of the youths.
Best,
Francis

Witaj Jerzy
Pozdrawiam

Well done!

Hi jerzy,
a very quiet shot. I like that. I like this situation and how you captured it. If theres a drawback to it, I think its the darkness of the lower part and how the man doesnt stand out of the darkness.

A beautiful alluring blue light and havign the subject in the darker tones makes me feel we are not intruding into his private prayer.
(Francis has also taken to blues today)

Hi Jerzy, not one of my favorite from your amazing images. too dark in the low side, but with amazing light and colours in the chapell.
not easy as shot, as all the images took inside a church.
thanks, ciao

Yes, Jerzy, me too. I also found young people (as well as old) in churches of Budapest praying at midday, in the morning and evening. It was something beautiful to see.
A lovely shot. It is understated but very nice. The colours warm and fitting the place. The lovely wrought iron with the Polish emblem(?) is beautifully emphasized.
Good afternoon from Ottawa (where most churches are locked!)

Hi Jerzy,
Gorgeous colours here, but I can't see what's happening in the bottom, it's too dark for this monitor... I'll be back.
Oh, great! I see the boy now! As jinju already mentioned he doesn´t stand out, but I think that´s because this is about prayer which is a private matter, and not about action or something social, so it shouldn´t be a kind of "into your face", contrast shot, but more of a soft tone, contemplative picture... Also prayer is something in which the "self" shouldn´t be important, so maybe it´s good that he doesn´t stand out... I like it!

What a nice colorcontrast, the dark red for the intim feel and the light blue rays of sun through th window as an enlightening spirit, nice to put the boy really below in the shot.
Outstanding enhancing Jerzy

Now, you know Jerzy, that your previous photo was about this boy, not the other rascals skipping school.
I can still hear his prayers.
And I still can't do anything about.
Bless your soul.

PS: Technical imperfections...?
You'll start worry about technicalities when your pictures have nothing else to say...

Piekny kadr i piękne kolory. Niesłychanie rozmalowane. I świetne to zgranie refleksów witraża z kolorami kwiatów w centrum kadru. Trudno ni eulec urokowi takiego zdjecia. Pozdrawiam T.

Very difficult light here J - the colour contrast of the red and blue is very nice and with those other colours and subtle light transformations it is very nice - good detail and low noise - and yes to see young people here on their own at midday - i can imagine it might be a surprise....
best wishes Kev
