Photographer’s Note

ENGLISH
Red stars and white tablets on cemetery of Soviet Union soldiers killed in 1945. In Poland there`s a lot of such cemeteries. However inscription before the cemetery made by the polish communist authorities says that is the liberators` cemetery. Whereas the Land of Zary was part of Poland in the Middle Ages, then under power of Silesian Piast dynasty, from 14 c. under power of the Kingdom of Czech, from 1635 until 1815 under power of Saxon electors, and after 1815 in the Prussian state. From 1945 back in Poland.

POLSKI
