Photographer’s Note

City of Toruń. Toruń is one of the most beautiful cities of Poland. Picturesquely located on the both banks of the Vistula River, at a site of intersection of ancient trade routes, it has been propagating its traditional economy and openness to the world for nearly 800 years. The gothic buildings of Toruń's Old Town, which won the designation of World Heritage Site from UNESCO in 1997, present proof of Toruń's centuries-old economic, cultural and intellectual ties with the leading cities of Europe associated in the Hanseatic League. The charm and harmony when viewing Toruń from the Vistula river make this panorama one of Toruń symbols and distinctive features. The panorama can be fully admired from the viewpoint in Majdany street, on the left river bank.

Witaj Ladny widok Torunia z drugiego brzegu. chociaż wisła mogłaby być węższa, wtedy lepiej widac byłoby miasto:)) Serdeczne gratulacje z okazji jubileuszu. Zyczę następnych wspanialych fotek. Małgorzata

Gratulacje. Swietne foto wystawiles jako 400. Piekna panorama. Coz, Wisla w Toruniu jest szersza niz w Warszawie, nie mowiac o Krakowie, w Krakowie Wisla to nie rzeka, ale rzeczka. Nigdzie Wisla nie robi na mnie takie wrazenie jak w Toruniu wlasnie. Piekny strzal.

'Long time no see'
This reminds me of Vermeer's great painting ' View of Delft', which he did with a camera obscura. I think maybe you slightly oversaturated.

The reflections in the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is leading our eyes toward the city and is gioving depth to the photo. The shadows and the light are bringing out the best of the colors. Have a nice day.
