Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist and St. John the Evangelist, Torun.

Church of St. John the Baptist and St. John the Evangelist, since 1935 Minor Basilica, since 1992 the Cathedral of Toruñ Diocese, former main parish church of Old Town of Toruñ. One of three gothic churches of the town, built from brick, an aisled hall with a monumental west tower. The first church from the 13th century was a small hall without aisles and with polygonal presbytery. This was replaced by aisled hall church in first half of 14th century, which was has been rebuilt many times and extended until it reached its present form at the end of 15th century. Interior is richly decorated and furnished. The earliest painted decorations in the presbytery date back to 14th century and depict the Crucifixion and the Last Judgement. One of the side chapels is connected with Nicolaus Copernicus. There is 13th-century baptismal font, supposedly used for baptizing the astronomer, 16th-century epitaph to him, and 18th-century monument. At the tower hangs Tuba Dei, the 3rd largest bell in Poland, cast in 1500.

Imponuj±cy dzwon na starym strychu dzwonnicy bazyliki toruñskiej. Po³±czenie starych, zmursza³ych belek i pod³ug, czerwona ceg³a ¶cian i dzwon piêknie wspó³graj± ze sob±. Bardzo interesuj±cy obraz w doskonalym ¶wietle, kolorystyce i jako¶ci.

Witaj, bardzo dobre zdjecie. Dobra perspektywa i swietnie wykesponowany potezny dzwon. Przyjemne, cieple kolory drewnianej konstrukcji. Gratuluje.

Maybe is this type clock also stolen during WAR II, this for it bronze.
In Belgium are almost all clocks stolen through the German forces

You have managed the light very well in this photo. The texture of the wood is also well captured. The bell is nicely surrounded by the strong wooden pillars. Generally this is an attractive composition.

What a great idea, and a very pristine bell pulls the in, obviously doesn't get rung with dirty hands !
Subtlely captured and there is loads of detail, clarity and the texture/colour from the beams. Great image.

View of wooden beams holding the bell, is well collected as light and depth well managed.
Narrow room forced a vertical crop, yet concetrate on the main subject.

bardzo ladnie obramowales ten dzwonek. Drewno ze wszystkich stron przyjemna szeroka kompozycja. Wydaje mi sie ze rowniez bylem na tej wiezy ale to juz tak dawno temu ze nie mam zadnych zdjec...
