Castle of Swiecie Photo

Photographer’s Note

The Post-Teutonic Knight Castle in the city of Świecie was erected in the years 1335-1350. The castle, built of brick on a high stone base, was established in the shape of a regular quadrilateral (roughly 50 x 50 m) with four corner turrets and four wings with living quarters to form an internal courtyard. In 1886 it was noticed that the tower, some 34,5 m in height, had a lean of 45 cm to the nort-west. In 2002 a by now quite significant tilt from the perpendicular of 94 cm was verified.

Bonjour Mikolaj,
Superbe ce château. La prise de vue en légère contre-plongée le rend plus imposant. Les couleurs sont peut-être un peu saturées à mes yeux, je me trompe ? ;o)

The red color is astonishing for this strong castle. I like the colors in three bands, from green to blue. A point of view which puts in contrast the castle well on the sky. Bravo.

Czolem Mikolaj,
znowu piekne ujecie nieznanej dla mnie architektury polskiej.
Super kolory i kontrast, a przede wszystkim informacja i duma, ze w Polsce jest tyle objektow tej klasy.
Dobrze, ze jest ta strona i swiat moze sie cos o Polsce nauczyc, a nie szacowac Polakow tylko wg. starych i nie aktualnych opinii.
