Golub-Dobrzyn is a town in central Poland, located on the both sides of the Drwęca River. Situated in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship (since 1999), it was previously in the Torun Voivodeship (1975-1998). It is the capital of Golub-Dobrzyń County and has a population of 12,500.
The castle in Golub-Dobrzyn was built in the beginning of the 14th century as a defensive fortress. It was many times attacked, destroyed, rebuilt and finally converted in the Renaissance style as a palace of the princess Anna Vasa. Erected on a hill overlooking the town, the castle belongs to the most interesting edifices of Europe.

Another splendid image from this lovely interior. There is some over-exposure around the window but that does not bother me. I like very much the colours and excellent detail to be observed in the brickwork around the fireplace.

A fine example of this old architecture with many interesting details. Also a readable note!
