Photographer’s Note

Pomeranian Philharmonic (Filharmonia Pomorska im. Ignacego Jana Paderewskiego) in the city of Bydgoszcz. The Philharmonic Hall built in 1953-1958 in a neo-classical style (880 seats). Design by Stefan Klajbor, contstructor Bogdan Piestrzyński, concert hall acoustics Witold Straszewicz. Inside one can also find collections of: tapestries, busts of XX century and contemporary Polish graphics. The Pomeranian Philharmonic's core activities include organizing two festivals. These are the Bydgoszcz Music Festivals (since 1963) and the “Musica Antiqua Europae Orientalis” International Festival (held every three years since 1966), which are supplemented by numerous congresses focusing on musicology and Slavic studies.
