Photographer's Note

Grodziec Castle castle located in Lower Silesia, on top of the hill of the same name. It was built on the basalt, volcanic, steep hill at an altitude of 389 m above sea level.
The first mention of a medieval fortified castle is from 1159. In the years 1522 - 1524 the castle was rebuilt in the Renaissance style, to the north and south were erected two towers. During the 30-year war, in 1633, a large part of the castle was destroyed by fire and remained a ruin until 1800. Progressively the castle was renovated and made available to the public. In the castle were realized many movies: Polish, Swedish, Belgian and Russian.
