Photographer's Note

Wroclaw’s Market Hall was designed by Richard Plüddemann and built between 1906-08. It is situated close to oldest districts of Wroclaw. The Hall was created in order to organize street trading in the city center. The building was not severely damaged during the World War II and continued to be used as originally intended shortly after. The hall was renowned for its then innovative application of reinforced concrete trusses, which was unique in Europe at the time.
The Hall is 85 m long, 37 m wide, and 21 m high.
Nowadays this market is teeming with shoppers. The Hall houses 2 levels of shops selling food, drinks, candies, flowers, clothing, and merchandise.
